Gluten-Free Doughnuts

When we are making doughnuts or scones as a fun treat for the family, we like to make a Gluten-free equivalent for our girl #1 who has Celiac Disease.  An easy way to do this is to make the biscuit dough from the GF Bisquick and then bake it in this pan.  We then glaze or frost and sprinkle them and girl #1 just loves having fresh "doughnuts"!

We've also done Gluten Free cake doughnuts this way usingPamela's Chocolate Cake Mix.

This stuff is really yummy!

  1. I too have to be gluten free so thanks for including this recipe. I find that baking is the worst thing for me since my diagnosis. I loved cooking and baking. This is one my family loved this summer that turns out beautifully that your daughter would love to help make I'm sure. I made it with Neufchatel cheese (lower in fat but still delicious) instead of cream cheese and reduced the sugar and used only strawberries. But since the first time I do not add any additional sugar as per the recipe because the brownie mix and the glaze makes it plenty sweet for our families taste. All of our guests says it's fine too and just love it. Hope y'all do too

  4. My girl #2 has Celiac. (We just found out a couple of months ago.) She is going to be so excited to find out that she can have doughnuts! (That's the special treat we got the night before her biopsy.) I have a gluten-free linky party every Monday on my site. I would love for you to visit and link up any ideas you'd like to share. Gluten-Free Monday is open every week from Mon-Fri. I hope to see you there. I'll be pinning your recipes!

  5. So far, I'm only cooking gluten-free for the whole family at dinner time. I noticed that you do that, too. Is that working for you? I'm debating going GF for the whole family, but it would be sooooo expensive!
