You will see what causes spikes in the blood sugar and what doesn't.<br /><br />The best part about gestational diabetes was my beautiful baby girl. My most recent therapist also had me on high protein for anxiety, but I thought she was unique in that approach. I had no idea it was more generally accepted. My favorite high-protein snack is Greek Yogurt. It is affordable at Costco. I buy the large plain Fage and then eat it with a little jam or agave stirred into it. I also buy whey protein at Costco and put a scoop into my smoothie every day. A piece of toast with peanut butter is a good snack too. And of course, cottage cheese is a staple.
