Hi! I write Western Warmth and I am the mom of these two boys (and two older girls). I've decided this picture captures this stage of my life pretty well :). I'm mostly in the background, making sure everyone gets enough to eat, is dressed, is warm, is clean...etc. It's not a glamorous life, but it is rewarding in the long-term sense.
This picture was taken in our temporary home we lived in 6 months of this year. It was two bedrooms, very tiny, and very messy--as it housed 6 people and the stuff we use every day to live. The whole reason we were there was to facilitate the ability to buy a house we were having built. The building of the house fell through, the developer sued us, and hundreds of other tiny things threatened to completely overwhelm us.
Through the power of prayer, and sheer miracles in answer to them, we now live in a large and lovely fixer-upper in a much better area of town (better schools, sports, community center, shopping, gyms, etc). Join me on my journey as I make sense of the emotional upheavals of the last year, my husband remodels our new dream house, and we EnJoy our life with our kids!
