We are ringing in our first campout of the 2015 season this Easter weekend. Thanks to the blogger app for my phone I'm actually writing this sitting in a camp chair by the fire.
Oh, and staring at the lake in the sunset. For my local campers (or those traveling near Omaha) here's the info: at Fremont Lakes SRA there are tent spots and RV electric ones. At a different section there are primitive that aren't numbered. That's where we are tonight. We like to stay unplugged if it is only a night or two. The cost was $16 (plus the Nebraska parks fee -- we bought the year pass).
In early April the leaves aren't green but the weather is nice and crisp and the sunsets are as gorgeous as ever.
