There are clubs you just don't want to be part of.
Today I found out our daughter's Celiac disease story will soon be featured on the Gluten Freely Frugal blog. I'm grateful to have our story featured and meet more in our "community."
As I was writing up our experience with my daughter's disease, it was reflective, thinking about this new group I am now part of. Later, I read this post on 71 Toes and thought of the new "club" the Pothiers were in...that they really weren't ready to be members of.
I guess life is like that for all of us. You never know what trial you are going to be handed, and even if you really don't want to join, those dreaded clubs can encourage, strengthen, and get you through.
I'm so grateful Heavenly Father sent us down to earth together so that as siblings we could love and support each other.

Love this little post. I know what you mean. We have become part of numerous clubs with Aidan that we never wanted to be a part of, but at the same time it's so nice to know of others that have gone or are going through the same things.
ReplyDeleteBoy, isn't that the truth. Our family is a part of two clubs that I would have loved to avoid.
ReplyDeleteThe only good thing is that I learned that with Heavenly Father's help, we can not only cope with being in those clubs, but thrive.
