It looks messy...but I'm not being very careful. Those white posts (although they look nice in this picture) are pretty beat up and are going to get ripped out and replaced with iron balusters. So...I can be as sloppy as I want with the trim paint on the white posts as well as the floor. These pics were before the carpet went in. We painted all the sub-floors with leftover paint and primer to seal in any pet odors (even after we treated the floors with bleach water). This particular hallway got a nice coat of aqua :). Not all places were so lucky.
