I love to match my daughter's clothes and this set was no exception. Yesterday's jumper re-fashion goes with the dress of my other daughter's that I re-fashioned. Only the end result was a little different.
This dress had two skirt layers so I made TWO skirts out of it. There was so much fabric in those skirts I was able to make a skirt for myself (with the under orange layer) and a skirt for the daughter whose dress this was (the brown polka dots).
So when my oldest wears her new skirt and I and the younger girl wear ours...we're just a walking cutsie convention ;). I don't have pictures taken of our finished skirts yet, but here's a few of the process:
Have you caught the "re-fashion" bug yet? Tell me what you've been working on lately...I really love hearing from you.
Cute! I haven't sewn in a while but I've been crocheting hats. Does writing count as a project? haha
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I can't sew well, and don't have a machine, but love this way of upcycling. I tweeted it too!
